Sometimes you need to save what you see on a smartphone screen to a file to share with or send to somebody or for your own future reference. This is sometimes referred to as screen capture.
To do this
- While looking at the contents on the smartphone screen that you are interested in, locate the power on/off button on your phone (mostly on the right hand side).
- Press the power on/off button for a few seconds. This should bring up this screen
- Tap on Screen Capture. The phone screen is automatically captured into a graphic/image/photo file and pressed under phone gallery sometimes in a folder called screenshot.
You can now share this file with anybody using applications like WhatsApp or send the file as an attachment in any mail app like Gmail or actually download this file to a computer through a USB cable or Bluetooth and use it in any other computer application software.
Note that there may be other different methods of doing this on different smartphones.
